About CPD

Change point detection (CPD), otherwise known as change point analysis (CPA), is a statistical technique that identifies the points in time when a data series changes. Changes can be observed in the mean, standard deviation or the slope of the data. The change point wizard focuses on changes in the mean level of your data.

CPD Wizard is a software application that helps you identify and analyze change points in time series data. We provide a user-friendly interface that allows you to pinpoint meaningful changes in your data and understand when they occurred. Our software is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, even for those without extensive data analysis experience. The wizard offers a range of features to help you gain valuable insights from your data, including the ability to specify confidence levels and minimum percentage changes.

Any number of time series can be analyzed with the results written to an output file ready for inclusion in your data models. By specifying a minimum percentage change value you can be certain that only meaningful changes are identified.

Although the CPD executable is digitally signed using Azure Trusted Signing to provide assurance of authenticity and code integrity, you may still see a Microsoft warning window like:

You can check the presence of our digital signature by right-clicking the CPD.exe file, selecting Properties (maybe under Show more options) and selecting the Digital Signatures tab. Here you will see details of our embedded signature.

This warning window can be permanently disabled and the program allowed to run by ticking the Unblock option on the General tab:
